The National Business Group on Health Launching Free Smoking Cessation Site for Employers

“The Business of Quitting: An Employer’s Web Site for Tobacco Cessation” will be launched during a news briefing on November 20. The site was developed by the Center for Prevention & Health Services of the National Business Group on Health, a non-profit organization devoted exclusively to representing large employers' perspective on national health policy issues and providing practical solutions to its members' health care problems.

Designed with the assistance of leading tobacco cessation experts, the content-rich site provides a central resource for employers seeking guidelines and best practices for smoking cessation, tobacco-control policies and health benefit decisions. From getting started to evaluating program success, the site features a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to helping reduce employee tobacco use and workplace smoking for both domestic and global employers. The site will be accessible to any employer wishing to use it.
